Six Web Games I Love
July 09th, 2008 | Category: UncategorizedThe past few days here have been wet and gray, so here’s a short list of some of my favorite web games (-10 to productivity). I was feeling nostalgic after spending an hour playing Line Rider, which is as far as I can tell, endless fun. So, I decided to revisit a few of my favorites. Each is relatively simple, some taking less than five minutes to complete, some, with no actual objective could be played for hours. Enjoy.
This game is beautiful. You control a small aquatic creature through the ocean as it eats other creatures and evolves to become more complex.
This is a sort of puzzle where the secret to unlocking the 16th level is to “cooperate with yourself”. It can be a little frustrating at first.
I’m convinced that this is one of the coolest and most relaxing games on the web. The art and the sound effects are great.
In this flash-based game the goal is to untangle each puzzle. I’m still working on this one.
The original Line Rider game was perfect. If you haven’t played it yet, beware, it will suck you in.
This java-based phyiscs toy could keep me entertained for hours. Its simple interface invites you build a volcano or a vacum cleaner.
